Michael P Galbincea

I am a digital media specialist that has been focusing on being an educator for the past 10 years; I am what you may define as a Swiss army knife of digital media skills. During undergraduate studies I focused on broadcast television production while studying communications. It was at this point I gathered skills as an editor and camera operator and gained a lot of experience working as an assistant director for a University sponsored television show and working at several live media events such as the Easter Egg roll at the White House in 1998.

Once I completed my studies at Cleveland State University I decided to pursue my MFA in Film, video and new media and quickly fell into designing web sites, creating Flash animation and motion graphics as well as progressing my skills in video and media production. This lead me to join a dot com called Digital Idiots where I lead a team of Flash animators in creating Flash based tutorials on the basics of digital video production and then move on to working as a designer at Ligtfall Interactive.

After a few years of working as a designer and animator I was asked to teach a class in new media production and I have been teaching, making art and freelancing for the past 12 years.

My unique skill set has allowed me to teach and create over several platforms and programs while keeping my software skills up to date and stay on top current design trends and standards. For more information about me feel free to check out my resume and work on this site.
